Worker cooperatives operate on principles of shared ownership, responsibility, and prosperity. This unique organizational structure empowers every team member to have a voice in shaping our company and our projects.

Shared Ownership

Once established as a worker-cooperative, every employee at Solarpunk Builders would be an owner with a stake in the company. This means you’ll have a real voice in decision-making, from project selection to profit distribution.

Shared Profits

Unlike traditional construction companies where profits flow to distant shareholders or wealthy owners, our success as a cooperative will direct benefits the workers who make that success possible. Profits are distributed among all full cooperative members.

The priority will be on long-term stability rather than short-term gains. The workers are the owners, so this is in our shared interests. It means secure, well-paying jobs with opportunities for skill development and advancement within the cooperative.

Vertical Integration

We are aiming to become a vertically integrated group of companies focused on property development. As our building projects increase in size, we will recruit people and incorporate new production capacities. Our strategy will be to prioritize expanding into whichever aspect of production represents the greatest external cost. We will do so once our project pipeline can ensure stable full-time employment.
